If you're looking for uplifting or positive content today, this isn't it. No judgment at all if you save it for when you're in a different headspace, or skip it entirely. Part of blooming is knowing what you need. And this is what I need. I am human, and I am on a journey to discover myself. There are days when I have no fucks to give. I promised you authenticity. And this is it.

That's the only thing in my head right now. The only words making any sense.

Shut the fuck up to all the people making excuses for another senseless death sanctioned by the American government. Another day of people on social media trying to make excuses so they can fool themselves into believing that what they stand for and voted for is worthy.

I am so sick of the brainwashed people in this country.

I will never get over this period of horrific American history. They never learn. They keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.

How can you ask how we can blame you for things done in the past by your ancestors when you make the same morally bad decisions in the present? How? Make better decisions. Be better people. Be a better country.

But you won't, will you? So the rest of us have to.

You can't silence a whole nation of people.

If there is nothing else we can do, we can open our mouths, raise our voices, and scream the truth to the mountaintops. Truth is their weakness. That's why they try so hard to promote the lies.

The one thing I've realized is that America's government is full of weak cowards. The people who are supposed to represent and protect the people of America are the people who would push you out of the way and jump in the lifeboat first. These are the people you vote into power. People who love their lifestyle and would do anything to keep it.

Another life lost at the hands of government-sanctioned racist mercenaries. Another family destroyed. Another day watching people perform mental gymnastics to justify what cannot be justified. Pathetic excuses, but they cling to them anyway because admitting what they've aligned themselves with is too much for them to bear.

I'm tired of the brainwashing. I'm tired of seeing people choose their political identity over their humanity. I'm tired of the amnesia that lets Americans repeat the same mistakes generation after generation, and still ask, "How can you blame us for what our ancestors did?"

As if they are blind to the realization that they're doing it right now. Blind to the fact that they're making the same inhumane and morally corrupt choices their ancestors made.

You can't hide behind history when you're actively writing your own chapters that are similarly corrupt in nature and which will ironically have your grandkids asking, "How can you blame us for what our ancestors did?"

Because they will ask, as history will not look upon this period of American history favorably. It will be another black mark in its books.

Make better decisions. Be better people. Build a better country. It's not complicated. It's just hard. And apparently, that's too much to ask.

The people running this country are weak. They are not strong. They are not brave. They have no redeeming qualities. They do not protect anyone but themselves, their comfort, and their power. These are the people who would shove you aside to save themselves. These are the people who shout bible verses and American pride, while doing things that betray every principle those symbols represent.

And the worst part is? We voted for them. We keep voting for them. And I don’t mean me personally, I mean we as a people.

Save me your excuses about why I'm wrong, why it's more complicated, why I don't understand. Save it. You had a choice, and you chose wrong. Maybe look at the factors that influenced your decision, and I mean the real factors. Not the bullshit you feed to others. No, I mean what's left when you strip away all the excuses. I bet you that what you'll be left with is an ism. Sexism, racism, capitalism. Letting isms make your decisions is like being led around by your dick. Once the immediate need is satisfied, you're left with regret and consequences.

I'm tired, and I'm frustrated, and I'm scared of the depleting levels of humanity in the world. But I'm also pissed off. So what do we do with our rage? We open our mouths. We raise our voices. We refuse to go about as if we are living in a time of business as usual. But the most important thing is to scream the truth from every platform we have, every conversation we're part of, and every space we occupy.

Because truth is their weakness. It's why they work so hard to hide it. You still don't understand? Their power is built on a sand dune and is based on a collage of snapshots of moments in time that, when put together, create an image that is not reality. But the truth is a windstorm that blows the sand away and shows the reality. Truth creates accountability. Truth reveals the lies and inconsistencies. Truth reveals the cowardice. But most of all, truth empowers the people. Their power only works because they can manage people. And you know what makes people hard to manage? The realization that they've been lied to and used...the truth.

So they need us to be quiet. They need us tired. They need us to give up.

But we won't be silenced. Not a whole nation of people who see clearly, who remember, who refuse to pretend any of this is acceptable.

I won't get over this period of American history. I won't move on. I won't forget. And I won't let anyone around me pretend it didn't happen.

This is who we are right now. This is what we've become. But it doesn't have to stay that way.

Let them know you know the truth. Let them know the emperor has no clothes. Let them know you see his teeny weener.

The truth scares them, and it might be the best weapon we have.

So no. I won't shut the fuck up.

And neither should you. There are people who are out there putting themselves on the line who are being killed. It’s the least we can do.
