Subject: Hot Girl Summer!

Hey Fab Fam,

As summer is here, I can’t help but feel that familiar excitement. Being from the Caribbean, summer always feels like home to me. I know many of us who are originally from the islands or from Latin America really look forward to this season, especially after those long, chilly months that can sometimes bring on that seasonal slump.

But let’s be honest: summer in our 50s has a different flavor than summer in our 20s and 30s. Back then, we were all about the late nights, the wild adventures, the spontaneous road trips, and some hard partying. Now, we find joy in a different kind of summer magic.

Instead of chasing the next thrill, we’re creating experiences that nourish our souls. Maybe it’s a peaceful morning gym session on the beach, a leisurely wine tour, or brunch with friends. Now don’t get me wrong. It’s not about slowing down; it’s about savoring the moments and honoring what our minds and bodies need.

So, here’s to a fabulous summer, filled with all the joy, relaxation, and self-care that we deserve. Cheers to making this summer just as unforgettable as any other!

With love and sunshine, Izzie

POLL: What’s Your Summer Vibe?

Mindset Reset

Old Story: Hot girl summer is for young women with perfect bodies and no responsibilities.

New Story: Hot girl summer is for women who've earned their confidence through lived experience and choose to celebrate their authentic selves.

Journal Prompt

  • Reflection: What made you feel most "hot" (confident, attractive, powerful) in your younger years, and how has that evolved into something even better now?

  • Clarity: If you could design your perfect hot girl summer without considering anyone else's opinions or expectations, what would it include? What would you do, wear, try, or say yes to?

  • Action: What's one way you've been dimming your own light to make others comfortable? How can you turn that heat back up this week?

Let’s Talk About Money

Here’s something a lot more women are saying after 50:
“I want my money working for me, not the other way around.”

We’ve spent decades showing up—for family, careers, everybody else. But now? It’s our turn. And no, that doesn’t mean hustling harder. It means getting smarter.

Smarter about where our money sits. Smarter about investing—not the Wall Street chaos kind, but the “let’s grow this steadily” kind. Dividends. Passive income. Real returns. Quiet power moves that let us build wealth without burning out.

🎯 This Week's Tiny Rebellion

Do something this week that your younger self would think was "too much" or "inappropriate for your age."

  • Wear that outfit you've been saving for "someday"

  • Flirt shamelessly (with life, with possibilities, with someone who catches your eye)

  • Dance like nobody's watching (because their opinion doesn't pay your bills)

  • Apply for something you think you're "too old" for

  • Post that photo without a filter or apology

  • Say exactly what you mean without softening it for everyone else's comfort

Remember: The audacity to live fully at 50+ is the ultimate hot girl energy.
